Idli is a South Indian snack that mostly taken in breakfast. A combination of sambhar and chutney increases its taste. Idli is very nutritious as it consists of fibers, vitamins, and minerals. Very little oil is used to cook it. Oil is only applied to the steamer to prevent sticking of the idli batter. There are many other benefits of idli, which are discussed here. The food is easy to digest as the batter is already fermented. This process makes the food easily digestible. The minerals and vitamins present on the food can be broken down easily inside the body through enzymes.
