Officers Choice Whisky

Of all the whiskey brands, Officers Choice is one of the fastest-selling ones. You can say that the cost-effectiveness of the whiskey is to blame. However, there is more to it.

It contains an element that naturally draws people to it. The pack, the small amounts, and the lesser price make this a drink for the masses. As a result, it moved quickly across the market after its introduction in the 1980s. Furthermore, several critics believe that in recent years, the Officers Choice whiskey has sold in quantities large enough to fill several Olympic-sized pools. While it may appear impossible, it is doable. Today’s blog discusses some of the essential elements of this whiskey and what makes it so popular with the general population.

What Do People Have To Say About Officer’s Choice Whiskey?
According to a popular opinion, the Officers Choice whiskey is strong tasting and may not be everyone’s favorite. However, those who love the solid Indian grain ferment and the scotch malt blend, would love it.

Chemically speaking, it comes in the category of neutral spirits. This means the original distilled solution of the blend contains an alcohol content as high as 95%. However, when it is stored in drams and left to rest, the alcohol content is finally reduced. As a result, the final product available in the market has an ABV (alcohol by volume) mark of 42.8%. Even though the ABV is toned down, the alcohol content is still a health hazard if consumed irresponsibly. Hence, no matter how big of a whiskey fan you may be, consume it with deliberate caution.

Now the biggest question arises if the officer’s choice is gluten-free. Moreover, rumors surround whiskies that can be a health hazard to people with celiac disease. For those who do not know, grains such as oats, wheat, and barley contain gluten, which can trigger symptoms of celiac disease. Hence, people with celiac disease readily assume that whiskey can be dangerous to them and never give it a try.

What a pity that some people never get to taste this fantastic blend! Well, it is time to clear this rumor. People with celiac disease must know that a whiskey, be it of any brand, let alone officers’ choice is gluten-free. Despite being made of grains, the distillation process removes most of the gluten in the final product. Hence, those with celiac disease can go for it with zero worries.

Conclusion
Returning to the topic of this article, officers’ choice has evolved with many versions. In 2011, OC Blue was added to the old one called OC Prestige. Later, another version, OC Black, reached the market. The premium varieties of OC are black and blue, and they control any party they serve.
